MotoJoe Club Rules

1. Name and Purpose

  • The club is called MotoJoe Club.
  • Promotes riding, skill development, community, events, and responsible riding culture.
  • Supports members’ access to SACU affiliation and licences.

2. Membership

  • Open to anyone who supports the club’s objectives.
  • Membership categories:
    • Full members (riders)
    • Associate members (non-riders)
    • Honorary members (appointed by the committee)
  • Annual membership fees set by the committee and approved at the AGM.
  • Members two months in arrears become inactive.
  • Youth members require parent/guardian consent.

3. Code of Conduct

  • Act in the club’s best interests at all times.
  • Follow rules during all activities and events.
  • Ride responsibly and obey UK law.
  • Respect other riders, the public, and property.

4. Committee

  • Managed by a committee elected at the AGM.
  • Officers serve one-year terms; can be re-elected.
  • Typical roles: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Events Coordinator.
  • Committee guides club activities, finances, and events.

5. Meetings

  • Annual General Meeting (AGM) held to review activities, finances, and elect officers.
  • Extraordinary General Meetings (EGM) can be called by the committee or member request.
  • Members must receive notice of meetings in advance.

6. Finances

  • Club funds only used to support objectives and activities.
  • Treasurer maintains accurate records and reports annually.
  • Bank transactions require two committee signatures.
  • Members do not profit personally from club funds.

7. Events and Activities

  • All events must comply with safety rules and UK law.
  • Members participate at their own risk.
  • Road riding events must follow all traffic laws.
  • SACU licences or day licences may be required for competitive events.

8. Discipline

  • Committee addresses breaches of club rules.
  • Possible actions: warning, suspension, termination of membership.

9. Data and Privacy

  • Member data used for club administration and SACU affiliation.
  • Members consent to data storage and use by joining.

10. Amendments

  • Changes to the constitution require a vote at the AGM or EGM.
  • Proposed amendments must be submitted ahead of the meeting.

11. Dissolution

  • Club may be dissolved by member vote.
  • After paying debts, remaining funds go to a charity chosen by members.

12. Summary Rules for Members

  • Follow the club constitution and code of conduct at all times.
  • Pay membership fees on time to stay active.
  • Hold proper licence, insurance, and gear for club rides.
